Fun Day 4/20

Well Hello Again! I bet your looking for that story? Its below this paragraph. But If you have no Idea what I am Talking about maybe you should read these posts. "The Greatest Gift" Part 1, and Part 2.

So here is Part 3

"The Greatest Gift"
By Abbie Wagner

Three days later I was ready, the presents where wrapped and put under the tree, the table was set, the cookies, candies and turkey was made. I got my coat and went to the car. As I drove though town, I reflected on the passed two days. I had visited the girls house and met their mom, who’s name was Rachel. She had five children, a fourteen year old boy named Peter. The older girl was 12 and was named Miranda but was called Mandy. Samantha was 10 and the twin girls, named Jill and Julie, was 8. They where a nice family and very polite. When I had left that day I had promised to visit again. Now as I pulled up to their house I hoped my plan would work. I climbed out of the car and walked to the front door, and knocked. One of the twins peeked out of the window, then I heard her holler

“Its Amanda! Amanda’s come back!”

Then the door flew open and four children where looking at me and trying to give me a hug. After Rachel had to come and pull them off me, she offered me a set then told the children to set on the floor.

“What can I do for you?” she ask.

“Well” I said “I was hoping that you and the children would like to come to my house for Christmas today. I know it is early but I couldn’t wait.”

I saw the kids eyes sparkle but Rachel looked doubtful.

“But I cant afford presents.” she said.

“Don’t worry about that, I have that all under control.”

“Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt.” She sighed.

“Don’t you worry about a thing.” I told her, “It will do you good to get out of the house.”

Rachel nodded her head and I stood up.

“Ok Then,” I said “Everyone go get in the car.” In a flurry of activity five children went tumbling out the door, across the snow and into the car. I smiled, Such a beautiful bunch of kids.

The Farming Report 4/17

Hello! Joe here with The Farming Report. This rain is really holding off the planting but we do need rain! So this week once again we will look at a fruit!
This week it is…………….
Plums!!!!

* Plums can be eaten fresh, or made into jams, jellies, and preserves.

* Dried plums are called prunes.

*Plum trees grow to the height of 7 to 18 feet tall.

*California is the world’s largest producer of dried plums, supplying 48 percent of the world’s supply and 99 percent of the U.S. supply.

*A prune plum tree produces up to 300 pounds of fruit. Fans of the fruit should appreciate each little one, as it takes three pounds of the fresh fruit to make one pound dried!

Well thats all from me! See you next week.

Verse of The Week 4/14

Hi, Christina here with Verse of The Week. Today's verses are from Psalms 136 (KJV)

Ps 136:1  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

2 O give thanks unto the God of gods:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

4 To him who alone doeth great wonders:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

7 To him that made great lights:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

8 The sun to rule by day:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

9 The moon and stars to rule by night:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

10 ¶ To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

11 And brought out Israel from among them:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

12 With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

13 To him which divided the Red sea into parts:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

14 And made Israel to pass through the midst of it:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

16 To him which led his people through the wilderness:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

17 To him which smote great kings:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

 18 And slew famous kings:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

19 Sihon king of the Amorites:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

20 And Og the king of Bashan:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

21 And gave their land for an heritage:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

22 Even an heritage unto Israel his servant:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

23 ¶ Who remembered us in our low estate:
for his mercy endureth for ever:

24 And hath redeemed us from our enemies:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

25 Who giveth food to all flesh:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

26 O give thanks unto the God of heaven:
for his mercy endureth for ever.

(KJV)

This is a fun Chapter to do this a group of friends or in Sunday School (We actually do it in the church serves sometimes) One person reads the first part of the the verse then everyone else repeats "for his mercy endureth for ever." It is really cool when you have a lot of people saying it!!!! :)
Well I hope you enjoyed!
