Hello and welcome to Craft's and How-To's! First off I would like to say we are very sorry this post is late. :( (We normally post it at 7:30 and it is like 3:30) Today Autumn and I (Skylar) are going to show you how to make a Floor Lamp!
What You Will Need:
Duck Tape
Hot Glue/Gun
Scissors
Cardboard (Cereal Box)
Plastic Cup
Wooden Rod 18 inches tall
Yellow Pompom (optional)

Cut the cardboard 5" by 11".

Wrap the cardboard around to form a cone. Glue.

Trim so the edge is flat. Lay aside.

Take the plastic cup and punch a hole in the top with the scissors. Be Careful!!!

Insert the stick.

And Glue. Set Aside.

Take the cone and start sticking duck tape on the outside.

Continue all the way around, till it looks like this.

If you would like glue a yellow pom pom inside the cone for a light. Set aside.

Now take stick and cup and cover it in ducktape. Leave the top open.

Now cover the cup. Now you have your base of the lamp.

Take the cone and poke a hole in the end.

Stick on the base like this.

And Duck Tape.

Now you may decorate it however you like. And your done!!!

The Farming Report 3/6

Hey! Matt here with this weeks Farming Report! Todays topic is.....
Pears!!!

*There are over 3000 varieties of pears grown around the world.
Pears are native to Asia and Europe.

*The first pear tree was planted in the North America in 1620 in the Massachusetts Bay colony.

*Before tobacco was introduced in Europe, pear leaves were smoked.

*They were given the nickname "butter fruit" in the 1700s because of their soft, buttery texture.

*Most pears (about 95%) sold in the U.S. are grown on the west coast, in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.

*Towns with an abundance of pear trees often included the word Perry in the name of the town.

*Pear wood is used to make furniture, musical instruments, and wood carvings. It is also used to make wooden kitchen utensils because it doesn't impart any color or odor to the food and because it is tough enough to withstand repeated trips through the dishwasher without splintering or warping. Architect's rulers are made from pear wood because it doesn't warp.

I hope you enjoyed this post see you later.

Ask Abbie 3/5

Hello  everyone! Abbie here with Ask Abbie!! First of I am Very Sorry about the late post. :( I got really busy and just now got around to writing this post. So the question this week is form Lanie Moss. And her question is:

Dear Abbie:
I am a fashion DISASTER!!! My clothes NEVER coordinate!! I feel Really silly! HELP!!!!!!

Well Lanie, It does sound like you have trouble. Here is my advise.
First, Never wear a ton of bright bold colors together. Unless you are feeling very funky.

Second, If you wear a print wear a solid also.

Third, Accessorize. Add a fun Purse, Necklace, Hat or Belt.

Forth, Shoes make a world of difference. They can add a lot to any outfit. See the differance? (I know not much. Oh well)

Fifth, NEVER wear a long sleeved shirt and a short skirt or shorts.

Sixth, White and black goes good with a lot of things including each other.

Seventh, If going fancy, Wear a longish dress. Short dresses don't look nice is you want to look fancy.

I hope this helps. Remember, use you imagination and you will be fine. So long for now.

The people form Bitty City Donated material and wood to build the Center back up and build some of the props that burnt up. We have had several pot lucks with food provided by the neighbors from the other towns. WOW their cooking is good! We are almost done with Center! And we are still practicing our dance steps!!! Verse of the Week 3/3

Hello everyone and welcome to Verse Of The Week! Today I (Christina) am going to give you some verses for the week. Today’s topic is on Fearing Not. I don’t know about you but I feel like something bad is going to happen. So I looked up some verses on Fearing Not. Did you know that there is 63 verses the say Fear Not? Here are some of my favorites.

The first is from Deuteronomy 1:21b and it says,

As the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.

The next is from 1 Chronicles 28:20

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

The next 2 verses are the LORD speaking.

Isaiah 43:5a Fear not: for I am with thee:

Revelation 1:17a Fear not; I am the first and the last:

The last verse is from Matthew 10:28 and it speaks about the soul. And it says..

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

After reading these verses I know not to worry about what might happen for the Lord says To Fear Not!!!! Praise the Lord!!!!
