Fun Day 14/12

IT's time for Part 2 of "Kaya and the Missing Horse Mystory"!

Kaya spun around and looked up at Shantel who was sleeping soundly. Kaya slowly closed the closet door then ran out of the room. She ran into the playroom and saw that the door leading outside was standing wide open.

"OH! NO!” Kaya gasped. “That’s not supposed to be open.” Kaya ran over to shut it when suddenly she stopped. An eerie silence followed. Even the birds had stopped singing. Then Kaya had a thought, “I think the horses went outside and now they are lost!” Kaya sighed and looked at the sky. Big storm clouds were rolling in. “What do I do now?”

Kaya stared out the window as the rain began to fall. “Oh why did the horses have to go and get themselves lost? Shantel must not know about this. I must go find them!” she said to herself.

But that rescue was a long time in coming. At least it felt like that to Kaya. From the time Shantel woke up to the time she went to bed Kaya was kept on her toes trying to keep Shantel away from the closet. When Shantel went to the closet to get her clothes, Kaya was so scared that she fell off the dresser! Thank goodness Shantel didn’t look over where the horses had been.

Later Shantel was going to play with the horses when suddenly Shantel’s little sister Kaitlyn barged into the room and said something. Shantel followed her out of the room. By the end of the day Kaya was so tired that she fell right to sleep.

The next day passed quickly and that night Kaya when out to search for the horses. She left the house shutting the door tightly behind her. Then she crossed the yard and headed down the hill behind the house. She glanced up at the sky when suddenly she realized that there were no stars in the sky! Kaya shivered

"I hope it doesn’t rain” she said to herself as a breeze began to blow. Ten minutes later she reached the stream behind the house, (For you see, Dolls take a lot longer to go places than humans do.) The wind was blowing strong and cold. Kaya shivered and began to crawl down the edge of the bank. “The water was a lot lower the last time I was down here,” Kaya thought. “I must be careful” Just then it began to rain. Kaya ducked into hole to keep from getting wet.

Soon the rain began to fall faster and it was coming down almost like a waterfall. Suddenly she heard a rumbling sound. It grew louder and louder. Kaya stuck her head out of the hole just in time to see a wave of water, crashing down the stream. And in less time than it takes me to tell this she was swept up in the water, Round and round she went, over and under in the water, gasping for air each time she came up. “Help!” she called “Help please Help!” The roar of the water drowned out her voice sucking it into a whisper. “Help! Me!” She cried as she went under.

WIll Kaya survive? Find out next week! One more part!
