The Farming Report 11/12

Howdy! This week we will be looking at Horses!

Its it majestic?! I love the way horse look when they run! So free and wild! (Unlike Layla, who hurt her ankle and is on crutches...) Well enough of my rambling! Lets get to the facts!

Horses can sleep both lying down and standing up.
  • Horses can run shortly after birth.
  • Domestic horses have a lifespan of around 25 years.
  • A male horse is called a stallion.
  • A female horse is called a mare.
  • A young male horse is called a colt.
  • A young female horse is called a filly.
  • Horses are herbivores (plant eaters).
  • Horses have bigger eyes than any other mammal that lives on land.
  • Because horse’s eyes are on the side of their head they are capable of seeing nearly 360 degrees at one time.
  • Horses gallop at around 44 kph (27 mph).
  • A horse's teeth take up more space in their head then their brain.

  •
    Hope you enjoyed!

Update: Guess what this is my 200th post!! Yeah! ;)

    Ask Abbie 10/12

    Dear Abbie,
I worry a lot. In fact, I worry that i worry to much. How do I stop worrying?
    Worrywart

Let your feelings out. Write down a few problems that worry you the most, and try to think of solutions. Also, talk to parents or friends about what is bothering you. Even if they don't have any solutions, getting your worrys off your chest will be a big relief. When you start to worry about something, keep busy with a fun project, listen to a upbeat CD, or play witha pet. if you really try to stop worry, but can't, or your worrying is causing you to miss out on things, its time to talk about it with your parents, and probably with your doctor, too. From the American girl magazine.
Editors Note: Praying is one of the Best ways to stop worrying. Isaiah 41:13 says "For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." (KJV)

    Verse of the Week 8/12

    Psalm 16
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
     2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 ¶ I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
    (KJV)

    Fun Day 7/12

HI! Today we go back to the F.R.I.E.N.D.S series! AND we get to start a new story! TODAY part 1 of...................
"Kaya and The Missing Horse Mystory"

Kaya Royer sat quietly on the dresser listening to Shantel talk on the phone. She needed some excitement. All of her friends were going on trips. Just then she heard Shantel say,
“I would love to keep Mocha while you are gone on the cruise. How in the world could we convince our parents to let me keep your toy horse?” Kaya’s eyebrows rose when she realized that her best friend Rebecca was going on a trip to.
"OK, that should work.” Shantel said “I’ll ask. Bye.” She hung up the phone and hurried out of the room. Kaya was about to climb done from the dresser when Shantel came running back into the room, picked her up and ran back out.
"We’re going to play house! Won’t that be fun?”
"No,” thought Kaya. “You’ll probably dress me up like a boy and make me marry Savannah and that does NOT sound fun!”
Several days later Shantel came home with Mocha tucked under her arm. She tossed the horse into her closet alongside Steps High her horse and closed the door.
That night after Shantel was asleep Kaya slipped off the dresser and went over to the closet. She carefully slid open the door and took Mocha and Steps High by their harnesses and stepped out into the room. Mocha nickered. Shantel stirred and rolled over. Kaya froze. After a minute or so, though it felt like forever, Kaya continued across the room and out the door. The horses pranced gaily, ready to be free. Kaya slowly opened the door that lead outside and lead the horses out. She took off their saddles and bridles and let them run. The horses took off across the yard jumping, prancing and tossing their heads. After Kaya had let them run a bit, and was tired of watching the stars, she whistled for them to come. Saddles and bridles in place again, she climbed onto Steps High’s back and rode to the house with Mocha following. Kaya put the horses into the closet and shut the door, climbed up onto the dresser, closed her eyes and went to sleep.
The next morning Kaya woke up early. The birds were singing and the sun was just coming up. She climbed off the dresser and went over to the closet. The door was just slightly open.
"That’s strange” said Kaya “I thought I shut that last night!”
She looked in. She gasped. The Horses where gone!

What do you think happened to them? Find out next week!

    And the front.

Ok. Lets look at what you will need:
    Brush

    hair claw clips

    First brush through hair.

    Mist hair and brush again.

Make sure you mist the front but don't get it in her eyes!

Now take a section of hair from the top and front. like this.

    and twist.

and stick a claw clip in.

    Now twist the Bottom up.

stick to more clips in to make it pretty!

    Repeat on the other side

The last step is to pull all the hair into a pony tail and stick two moe clips in to finish the look.
